The landscape of oral health care has been transformed by the advancements in dental technology, presenting cutting-edge solutions that bolster patient treatment, elevate diagnostic precision, and streamline therapeutic procedures. Through breakthroughs in imaging technology that offer unparalleled insights into the mouth to the creation of robust and visually appealing materials for dental repairs, dental technology effectively connects the dots between professional clinical skill and the requirements of patients.

Cone Beam Scanner 3D Imaging - VATECH

Cone Beam technology provides a digital tomographic 3D view of the patient’s area of interest. A traditional x-ray is only two-dimensional. With Cone Beam systems the doctor is able to get a full 360 degree view of the tooth and all surrounding areas.

Our office uses a VATECH full field scanner, the only scanner FDA approved for pediatrics. The scanner provides nearly limitless views of the teeth while using less radiation than traditional medical CT technology. The size of the area being scanned is adjustable so as to limit the radiation exposure to as little as is necessary. This new technology is fast, simple and painless, providing many wonderful benefits that were unavailable only a few years ago.

3D Digital Impressions

In addition to being much more comfortable for the patient, using our Trios scanner allows us to be more efficient and accurate, which can result in a reduced number of visits to the office, saving the patient time.

CAD/CAM Dentistry

CAD/CAM stands for Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Milling (CAM). 3D images can be uploaded into special CAD software, allowing the dentist to evaluate the exact details of the appearance and function of the restoration. This software can also help the patient to visualize the end result of the proposed restoration.

Once the design is finalized, the files are sent to the CAM system for fabrication of the restoration to the exact specifications of the design. Use of CAD/CAM technology increases efficiency and accuracy, and can often reduce the overall number of patient visits needed.

Lasers

The use of lasers in dentistry has brought about many great advancements. Lasers allow for procedures that are less painful, reduce the amount of tissue loss, and provide a reduction in bleeding. The use of a laser allows some procedures to be performed without the use of a drill or the need for a shot. Our practice uses the PerioLase MVP-7 laser to improve your experience in our practice allowing us to provide technologically advanced care.

Our Waterlase laser represents a groundbreaking approach in dentistry, merging laser energy with water and air to conduct various dental treatments in a safe and comfortable manner.

Soft Tissue Lasers

Soft tissue lasers are used for periodontal (gum) surgeries. These lasers are more efficient, cause less discomfort, promote a faster healing time, and decreased risk of infection, providing a better outcome.

Digital X-Ray

Digital x-rays reduce the amount of radiation needed as compared to film x-rays. The improved diagnostic capability of digital x-rays and the ability to view the x-rays on a computer screen allow the patient to better understand and follow treatment. Digital x-rays are instant, there is no longer a need to develop the film. Digital x-rays save time and increase patient care. It’s also a very green technology. By eliminating film, developer and chemical waste it is better for you and the environment!

Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Using Electronic Medical Records our practice is able to quickly and accurately access patient information in order to provide the utmost in patient care. This helps to ensure patient confidentiality as well as reduce the need for paper. Using a digital format allows for quick access to your information when needed for insurance records yet provides a secure filing system.

Digital Intraoral Cameras

An intraoral camera combines the latest video technologies with dental care. Both the patient and dentist can see detailed images of the teeth and mouth in real time. With an intraoral camera, you are able to better understand what is happening in your mouth and review the status of your oral health.

Prophy-Jet Polishers

Traditionally, teeth are polished using a rotating rubber cup and an abrasive paste. Prophy-jet polishing, however, uses an air polishing system with a combination of pressurized water and baking soda to remove more stubborn stains.

Piezo Electric Handpieces

Are used for periodontal (gum) and osseous (bone) surgery. These handpieces are gently and meticulously used to remove harmful bacteria without requiring invasive measures.

Digital Flat Screen Monitors

These monitors are found next to every patient chair. Patients can watch a movie or TV show. Patients can also view their dental radiographs when speaking to the doctor about the findings for a better understanding of their oral health.

Wi-Fi

Our office offers free Wi-Fi for our patients use while visiting our office.

Tablets

We offer tablets for patient use while visiting our practice.
